The approach was to use OptiLine to calculate the elevations for the contour banks. But to do that, there must first be a working surface.
An OptiSurface 4Way without any parameters (only grid spacing) was used to create the working Proposed Topography.
Breaklines were then added and an OptiLine was calculated using the parameters shown below.
Finally, the OptiLine was offset to create a wide flat surface so the machine control file will pick up the points. The operator will use the centerline to cut the channel base and then use vertical and horizontal offsets to batter (slope) up the contour bank to the required height (Eg 700mm).
